Testimonials
“I didn’t know it at the time, but the day I came to the shelter with my kids was the day my life began again. The staff at DASO were so good with them, and with me too! They not only helped us through that difficult time but they helped me discover my independence and strength. I will always be so grateful.”
Katrina,* mother of three and former shelter resident
“I didn’t know if I was in the right place but the outreach staff reassured me that I was. The staff made me feel safe and comfortable sharing my experience over my 12 year marriage. I never felt judged or unworthy. Staff at DASO has made me feel confident and strong again. They are truly a gift to me!”
Sally,* mother of three and former Outreach program
“Believe in Me gave my kids the confidence they needed to make changes in their own lives. It also gave me emotional support for my struggles as a single mom.”
