The Team at Leading Edge
Senior Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator/Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator Instructor/Owner
Monique has been an entrepreneur all her adult life. She spent many years as a farrier, or as some would know it, a blacksmith. She grew to understand what it takes to run a successful business and learned the most crucial component is the relationship with the clients.
Along with her farrier business, Monique started other service-based businesses which also experienced success. She has received certifications in Hypnotherapy and NLP, helping people overcome weight loss issues and smoking cessation along with goal setting.
Horses have always been an integral part of her life and knowing this, Monique decided it was time to get back to her roots. Having experienced the special bond, amazing healing and incredible teachings horses have for humans, she soon realized her true dream of becoming an Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator.
Monique's experience with horses is quite extensive. She has spent time in the show ring, started young horses and also taught beginner riding lessons. She has gone on to study Equine Behaviour in many modalities and continues to research how horses help humans grow, change and heal.
Because of her love for horses and true desire to help people overcome obstacles and reach for their true potential, she opened Leading Edge Equine Academy.
Monique believes education is a life long journey and continually attends workshops, seminars and trainings so she can better help her clients achieve their goals.
