The power of the horse simply astounds me. I live in awe of them every day and every day I can't wait to show someone just how brilliant they are. Growing up in a very small village in Ontario, I always knew I was the child of the town drunk. I don't know how many town drunks there actually were, but I knew my father was one of them. Throughout most of my choldhood he was gone to who knew where and who knew for how long. As a result, my sister, brother and I were raised by our mother. I know this isn't an unusual story. In fact, such stories are told so often they might even be considered normal. But back then, in my little village, I didn't know anyone else who was living a life like ours. By the time I was four, I had become quite an adventurer and knew without a doubt that horses were going to be my life. I knew by instinct that they were going to save me. And that is what a horse did when I was a troubled teenager.......
